Mike Reagan was the former Director of Customer Service (and front man) for the iconic train manufacturer Lionel. Mike cut his teeth in the 3-rail O gauge industry back in 1992 when he entered the marketplace as a custom layout builder. In 1996 he opened and operated Train America, a retail /mail order business in Canfield, OH. A few years later he started Train America Studios. Enamored with the technology of Trainmaster Command Control he assembled a team of talented engineers and began offering command-controlled upgrade products and services for private collectors and operators. This business eventually bloomed into the primary OEM supplier for most of Lionel’s licensed competitors such as Atlas O, 3rd Rail, and the former Weaver Models.

Mike Reagan joined Lionel as the Director of Customer Service in February 2008. Soon after joining he significantly improved turnaround times for warranty & non-warranty repairs. Mike personally trained every Lionel Service Station who attended the only official Service Station Training Classes offered in Ohio in 2010 & 2011 on how to quickly diagnose & repair modern Lionel electronic equipped locomotives and products. After leaving Lionel in late 2016 Mike joined forces with one of the industry’s leading layout builders, TW Trainworx in Dallas, Texas, returning to his roots in layout design, construction and installation. In 2020 Mike became an equal partner in the newly reorganized MTH Parts & Sales business, in Elkridge, MD.

Mike Reagan is an industry expert in the O gauge 3-rail world. Still repairing command-controlled trains, selling MTH parts and designing, building & installing custom 3-rail model railroads all over the country.
